Derick, aged 29, lost his battle with mental illness on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Derick struggled with mental illness since his teenage years and wanted so badly to overcome his struggles. He will be deeply missed by his family whom he loved so much. Donations will be used to cover final expenses and any remaining funds will be donated to Exodus Place in Grand Rapids and Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan.
