In Loving Memory of Deok Su Park

Donation protected
Dear loved ones, this is the Park family wanting to fundraise for the cost related to our dad's passing. He suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in the brain stem at such a young age of 58 and passed away unexpectedly. He was so full of energy - even right before he had his stroke - and we would never have expected him to pass away in such a short amount of time. We had hoped that the stroke wasn't fatal and that he would be able to recover from it because he was the strongest and healthiest person we knew, but due to the hemorrhage being in such a vital location, he did not have any chance of recovery.

Our dad, Deok Su Park, was the sweetest, kindest, energetic, silly, and most loving person that has ever been part of our lives. He would always sacrifice his own needs and desires for the sake of our family members. You can see the excitement on his face whenever he would treat us out, buy us gifts, and make the time even in his crazy, busy schedule to spend with us. Our favorite memory of our dad is at every family function he would be so eager to capture our precious moments as our self-appointed historian. He would always tell us to gather around for a photo, tell us how to pose, and make us laugh so that we would smile in our photos. He also took candid photos so stealthily that we had no idea that he even took those photos, and we can't forget about his interesting selfies. But most importantly, the pure expression of joy that was ever so present on his face whenever he would actually take a good photo of our family is something that we truly can never forget. He brought so much fun and joy to our family with his personality and outlook on life.

For others who knew him through various functions, whether it be all of the churches that he has been a faithful member of, the friends that he has made in the Korean military, the friends that he made in life, the friends and clientele of his successful Locksmithing Business (Arirang Locksmith), his neighbors, and so many others, we can all agree that he treated every one of you as family. He went out of his way to make sure that you were taken care of. He made you laugh, and feel so loved and special. He prayed for you, he probably repaired something in your house, he bought you food, he offered you discounts, and he always went the extra mile to take care of you. It never mattered to him who you were, he was always there for you. He was the biggest and greatest example of Christ in your life, whether you are Christian or not. I hope that through the interactions you had with our dad, you have experienced the true love of God.

With the funds, you will be supporting us to cover the cost of:
  • Medical expenses
  • Funeral Service
  • Columbarium
  • Travel to Namhae, his hometown, so that he can rest in his family grave in Korea, where most of our family members can visit.

We would appreciate your support in commemorating his impact on all of our lives.

Thank you,

Park Family

P.S. Please enjoy some of our favorite photos of our dad.
