Hi Everyone,

As many of you may already know we all lost one of the great ones on April 1st of this year. Delmer was one of a kind - he was loyal, caring, witty, funny and giving.

He was a son, father, brother and friend taken from us much too soon, but Del left us all with many fond memories of his fun loving personality, laugh and smile, and just downright positive outlook no matter the circumstances. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, and missed most of all by his closest loved ones.

To celebrate his memory we would be honored to anyone who would like to contribute to have a memorial bench installed in his name, the city has approved the N Ave Park on the Guemes Channel. Currently the city is planning to clean and reconstruct the park area and the bench will be installed after that project is complete.  ((Backstory** During the last 15 years, Del was wheelchair bound and had limited hours each day out of bed. This park was close enough to home when he wanted to venture out on his own.)) All monies raised in excess of the cost of a bench installation will be set up for a scholarship or targeted towards a cause dear to Del, to commemorate Delmer's zest for life.
