My name is Pushpinder, and I am Deepender Singh’s younger brother. It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I am creating this fundraiser in memory of my brother, who tragically passed away following a swimming incident at Goldstream Falls in Goldstream Provincial Park on August 17, 2026.

Deepender was only 27 years old. His passing was sudden and completely unexpected, leaving our family, friends, and everyone who knew him devastated.

According to West Shore RCMP, emergency services responded after Deepender went into distress while swimming near the waterfall. Bystanders acted quickly and began life-saving efforts before police, BC Emergency Health Services, and the Langford Fire Department arrived. He was transported to hospital, but despite everyone's efforts to save him, he sadly passed away.

During this extremely difficult time, we are raising funds to help our family with the unexpected expenses associated with his passing, including funeral and memorial arrangements and other related costs.

Any funds remaining after these expenses have been covered will be sent directly to Deepender’s parents to help support them during this incredibly difficult time.

No family is ever prepared to lose someone so young and so suddenly. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean a great deal to us. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would also be deeply appreciated.

We are extremely grateful to the bystanders who immediately tried to save Deepender, as well as the first responders, medical professionals, and everyone who has reached out to support our family.
