In Loving Memory of Dee Greenhalgh
Donation protected
We’re deeply saddened by the unexpected loss of our beautiful Mercedita “Dee” "Ditas” Barot Greenhalgh, who passed away on the 8th of April, 2020.
She leaves behind her children, Kyla and Sean, and her sisters Patty and Jing, brother Dennis and many other beloved family and friends from all over the world.
Cause of death was determined to be kidney failure, but since this happened during the coronavirus pandemic, the hospital assigned Dee to the ER as a PUI (person under investigation for possible coronavirus) where she was administered several tests. This is also where she took her last breath and went to a better place.
The whole situation - from first signs to the time of her passing - took place in less than 72 hours, leaving her family helpless and in shock.
The extra burden of having lost Dee during the COVID-19 lockdown has added a lot of undue stress on the family, who are now facing the constraints of travel, as well as the pressure of exorbitant doctor, hospital and cremation fees. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to cover these costs to ease some of the strain on the family.
Your support, no matter how small, is much appreciated.
Once things go back to normal, we will get everyone together for a memorial to celebrate Dee’s life in true Dee style.
In the meantime, please think happy memories - that's what she would have wanted.
Thanks and stay safe,
Liz (Dee's daughter-in-law) on behalf of the Greenhalgh and Barot families
