In Loving Memory of Deborah Leaming
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
It fills me with deep sadness to announce that our mother Deborah Leaming lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on the early morning of February 16th, 2024. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in September of 2023… the battle was a short one, but she fought hard until the very end. She was a loving, caring, hardworking individual who dedicated herself to her job, her two daughters, her four grandchildren, friends & her dog Lulu.
She fought the good fight & kept the faith until God called her home to rest after the past few months of being in pain & trips back and forth to the hospital. But even during everything she was dealing with, she still was able to smile through it all & keep everyone around her happy knowing that she could possibly beat this disease.
She was the best grandma, mother, daughter, sister & friend. She had enjoyed the simple things in life like drinking a tall can of Mickeys while watching her Dallas Cowboys play, drinking Big Reds & Dr. Peppers, spending time with her grandchildren, getting on Facebook to see what was going on with everyone in their lives & she also loved going to work to do her job there in which she worked at for 45 years with AAFES… like I said before, she was dedicated.
Although we are deeply saddened by her leaving us, we have comfort in knowing that she passed away peacefully as she took her last breath. God knew what she was dealing with & I feel as though he seen how tired she was and finally let her get the rest she needed. As much as it hurts to see her physically not be here on earth anymore, it truly is some what of a peaceful feeling knowing that she is no longer in pain & is definitely in a better place… BUT, it does still hurt.
She leaves behind two daughters Stephanie & Delores with her grandchildren as well Jayden, Josiah, Daeshon & Destiny. In addition to her daughters and grandchildren she leaves behind a sister in Texas named Catherine & two nephews and one niece from her brother Mike that passed away as well. We also know that she was greeted in heaven by her parents Lorraine & Harlan and her two brothers Mike & David. She has an endless list of family and friends that are with heavy hearts & grieve her passing with us. On behalf of her daughters, we want to thank each person that knew and loved our mother, she loved you all as well.
We are asking our friends & families to help support us with any expenses that are needed to finally lay my mom to rest & give her a “Celebration of Life” party that she deserves and to also help with any other expenses needed in our time of grief. Anything helps, no amount is too small. From the bottom of our hearts, we would greatly appreciate anything that can be donated for her. We unfortunately don’t have any dates for a Celebration of Life at this time, but as time goes on & we collect more information we will let everyone know as soon as we can. Thank you to anyone that has reached out to me or Delores… knowing you guys are grieving with us as well gives us the courage to stay strong, it lets us know that we are not alone during this time & we can continue to keep on going with our heads held high.
