In Loving Memory of Dayanna Shaffer
A devastating fire began this morning in the Shaffer’s home in West Deer. Dayanna Shaffer, a 14 year old girl could not make it out and tragically passed away. Dayanna was an 8th Grader at Deer Lakes. Her family describes her as a beautiful soul who always had a smile on her face. She loved to play the flute in the school band and she was always making her friends laugh. She loved her family and her friends with all of her heart. The Shaffer family not only lost their daughter but they lost everything in the fire. The fire was so immense that nothing from the house can be recovered. The family dog Nessie, who Dayanna loved so much was lost in the fire, as well.
