It is with great sadness that our family share with you that Dawn Marie Hanley gained her wings on August 9, 2020.   Our mother Dawn, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, aunt, and friend was an amazing woman.  Dawn raised four beautiful children, Andrew /wife Lindsey, Kristi, Chelsea and Hunter who will miss her dearly.  She has two beautiful grandchildren Madison and Julian whom she loved and adored.  The family will make sure those two kids know every day just how much their mom-mom loved them.  Dawn was a loving, caring person who had a heart of gold and would have done anything for anyone and a mother who protected her own.   Dawn was a giver, a fighter when she needed to be and a friend that was a true friend.   We all know that tomorrow is never promised.  You also never expect to get a phone call and the person on the other end saying your mother has passed away.  No!  She is too young; she had so much more life in her and life to give.   We needed her; her grand-babies needed her.  We had so much more to say to each other and things we wanted to do with her.   Now, as a family, we will live through our mother and never forget the love she showed us, the love she showed her grand-babies and the support she gave all of us and with that she will live in our hearts forever.  Because of her sudden passing Dawn did not have life insurance and there are no funds to provide for a proper burial/funeral.  We are hoping that our family , friends and community can come together during this difficult time to help the family reach a goal of $4,000 to provide Dawn with the proper good-bye that she so deserves.  Payments can be made directly to Nicholas-Gilmore funeral home Newport, DE or through the go fund me page.
