On April 29th, it was a regular day for my sister Minnie and her kids. They were sitting down watching the NFL draft. I stopped by after work to say hi and pick up some items my sister had bought for me. Per usual Dave joked around with me and teased me. You knew Dave cared and loved you when he would joke around and play pranks! Within a few minutes all our lives would change. Just in a matter of seconds Dave was gone.

Everyone who knew Dave knew he was a man with such a caring heart. He would always encourage everyone around him. He thought everything was possible and nothing was too big. He was the most loving father to his daughter and 3 boys. The most supporting husband to my sister, on this exact day 21 years ago they had met. They meant everything to him.

Dave was a big family guy and loved all our family. He loved kids and was so caring for all of Marcus’ football teammates and friends. He was a person that was there, even if you didn’t ask, he would just be there to help.

He would give you advice and help from his heart without ever expecting anything in return. He cared so much about everyone, from his co-workers to his clients that became friends and family.

David was a fun loving and dedicated father and husband. The love of Christ was felt through Dave’s beautiful life. This sudden lost has left an enormous void in all our lives. Our family will never be the same without seeing his bright smile shine again.
