My name is Gina Rathbun, and I have been living with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) for 18 years. Over time, this illness has taken so much from me—my independence, my career, and most recently, my beloved husband, David, who passed away in June 2025. David was not only my partner in life but also my primary caregiver and my greatest source of strength.
Since losing him, I’ve been facing both deep emotional grief and overwhelming financial challenges. I now require round-the-clock care, which must be paid for entirely out of pocket. These costs are incredibly high, and after losing my job in December 2025, I no longer have the income needed to keep up with the medical and caregiving expenses this disease demands.
I am reaching out with humility and hope to ask for your support. Your donation will help ensure I can continue receiving the care I need to live safely and with dignity. No amount is too small—every contribution truly makes a difference, and your kindness means more to me than words can express.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you are able to give.
