My name is Gina Rathbun, and I have been living with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) for 18 years. This disease has taken so much from me, including my independence, my career, and recently, my beloved husband David, who passed away in June 2025. David was not only my husband but also my main caregiver and emotional anchor. Since losing him, I’ve faced overwhelming emotional and financial challenges. I require 24-hour caregiving, which I must pay for entirely out of pocket, and the costs are astronomical. I also lost my job in December 2025, leaving me with little income to cover the extensive medical and care expenses that come with this cruel disease. I’m reaching out with humility to ask for your help in easing this financial burden so I can continue to receive the care I need. Any donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference and is deeply appreciated.
