On Oct. 8, 2021 at 1045, David Joseph Wirsing joined his father David L Wirsing, his aunt Vivian, his childhood best friend Spencer Douglas and his first grandson Spencer R. Wirsing in heaven at the young age of 49.

David had an amazing soul and was the sweetest, most caring, and loving man you have ever met. He was a loving son to his parents Joan and David L. Wirsing, an amazing father to his two amazing kids Kaj and Maisie, an even more spectacular grandfather to his three grand children Spencer, Karsyn and Reece and a bit of an brat to his sister Karol. It was a love hate thing between those two, Karol was adopted by their loving parents Joan and David but has always been there no matter their differences. They were true brother and sisters, fighting, loving and forgiving.

I know David as he blessed me with my amazing husband Kaj Wirsing, Dave's one and only son. Kaj and his Dad were best friends. I would get mad he wasn't coming to bed cause he was on the phone with his dad hitting the shit, talking about life and mostly boats and engine stuff.... I regret I ever pulled him away from these conversations now...The conversations he never gets to have again with his father, his dad, his best friend through all his years, and the only significant male figure he had left after loosing his son in 2017 and his grandfather David L last year. David and Kaj had the best relationship, like one I had never experienced before. David's love was unconditional and pure. He was nothing but pure love and happiness and his time came unexpectedly too soon. Without this amazing man, I would have never been gifted with my children Spencer, Karsyn, and Reece who gives not only myself and Kaj a reason to keep on keeping on, but also David's mother Joan. Our family lost Spencer R. Wirsing, Daves's first grandson on Nov. 7, 2017 at 15 months old and this was tragic enough for all of us. Little did we know his Dad, David L. Wirsing, would pass March 27, 2020 at 74. This family has endured more than most can imagine.

His mother Joan (the strongest woman I have ever met, and of course she is an Italian woman just like me) has been battling stage 4 colon cancer and lost her great grandson in 2017, her husband in 2020, and now her son David in 2021. This woman is like no other, and was by her sons side along with his son Kaj, his sister Karol, his grandbabies Karsyn and Reece and his daughter-in-law (That's me!!! Alicia Wirsing!!! Glad to have the name of such loving and caring people!!!)

This fundraiser is to to provide his family with the finances to handle David's funeral costs, memorial services, and everything he left behind for his kids. Dave was a hard worker, and he worked harder than any man I have ever met to provide and leave his children Kaj and Maisie with a little bit of something to make sure they were ok! Dave was a amazing man, deserves an amazing service with his family and friends and his kids to have a forever memory of him, the river house where they shared so many memories and the best times of their lives as the Wirsing Family.
