In Loving Memory of David Wilk....

It is with extreme sadness and great regret that I report that a young industry brother has left us. David Anthony Wilk was 26 years old and died in his sleep Saturday Night/early Sunday Morning.

In 2014, a 19 year old kid responded to one of my sales recruiting ads for my old Chicago, IL office. I hired him and took him out in the field and on his first day he inked his first deal cold calling in Aurora, IL.

The Property Owner had already filed the claim and said the adjuster was coming out in a few hours. Later that day, the adjuster showed up, issued a check on the spot, and he formally contracted the job turning his first job in the very first day.

I knew on that first day he had that "special thing" (a gift) we business owners always look for when recruiting and hiring Sales Associates.

That young kid was David Anthony Wilk.

David worked for a brief time for me in Sales & Marketing at Storm Ventures Group (SVG) back in 2016-2017, and then moved on to gain more field experience, working for a few nationwide contractors like Northwest Roofing out of Denver, CO.

Recently he was working for O'Danny Boy Construction out of Chicago, IL and just last week had posted a nice flat roof he had gotten approved and contracted, the largest one in his seven year history.

He was a great kid, big heart, and touched many across the industry. He was always willing to give a hand to those in need. He was one of the most genuine, funny, and charismatic souls you would ever know ...

Funeral services are being planned for SAT JAN 30. 

He is survived by a girlfriend Claire, parents Dave and Lori Wilk, and Danny and Nicole Wilk, brother and sister.

He will be missed by many.
