In loving memory of Dave Thomson

On October 22nd we lost Dave Thomson to an unexpected heart attack. We are deeply shocked and hurt to lose a friend, father, talented musician and passionate hockey coach so suddenly and so young.

He was stolen with out warning from his wife Dionne and daughters Addie and Lucy, from his community in which he was deeply involved, from his many collaborators and admirers in his music career, and the multitude of friends he has touched throughout his life.

Many people on hearing the news of his unexpected passing have asked what they can do to help. We started this gofundme as one way in which the people that knew and loved him can contribute to ease the burden that his loss leaves on his family.

The purpose of this page is to help contribute to the immediate costs incurred by Dave's loss and to provide a cushion for the family while they process this very tragic loss.

Many people have already expressed a desire to get together to support one another and pay tribute to Dave.

Presently there is a Celebration of Life planned for November 23rd, 4-10pm at the Midland Arena Banquet Room. I look forward to seeing many of you there.

Thank you all so much for your generous support. It is amazing to see the number of people motivated to do what they can to help. We are touched by the amount of people that share our grief over the loss of such a lovely person. We are going to keep the gofundme open until after the celebration of life on the 23rd so that no one who wanted to contribute is left out. We were all confident we would meet this goal because of the many people who held Dave in their hearts, and are honoured by your generosity meeting that belief.
