In Loving Memory of Daniel Leo Vigil III

Hello to all family & friends,
We want to start off with recognizing all who are in pain from our loss & wish peace upon us all. May God ease our hearts & help us make this a smooth transition for the one we love.
Our grandmother & grandfather have lost their only son, our aunts have lost a younger brother, our cousins have lost an uncle, and his 3 grandchildren have lost a grandfather. We know everyone who loved and knew him will miss him very much & these are very hard times..
Daniel Leo Vigil III was found deceased in front of El Cerrito Library on January 31, 2022 at approximately 2:22pm. He was assaulted and experienced traumatic injuries sometime between Sunday evening and Monday morning. His case is under investigation in hopes to find justice to the one who caused this tragedy.
We are the 4 daughters of Daniel & we are all in complete shock of this terrible act against our father. Unfortunately, our father had a very rough life & all lead up to his final moments. We all wish his circumstances could have been different.
Planning & preparing our fathers funeral was never something we would have ever expected to be doing while we are all only in our 20’s. Our father was very young & we will love & cherish him & our memories of the good times forever.
He was funny & goofy (he loved to smile and make us laugh), outgoing, hard working, was a great cook, had the best taste in music, loved the outdoors, especially the water and was the greatest fisherman we ever knew of.
Our father loved his mother & family and his children were his pride and joy.
We all just want our father to have the chance to have a peaceful and beautiful gathering of all who loved him on Feb. 18th for his funeral service at the chapel and proper burial.
Us daughters are organizing and providing as much as we can. We understand that our extended family & friends would love to contribute and be a part of this day. We know and understand how loved he was by many besides us.
We have additional costs because we wanted to be sure our father has the best funeral that he deserves.
Anyone can contribute to his funeral whether they knew our father or not, we greatly appreciate all who are thinking of us and his family and our pain.
May God bless and reward all in health, wealth and prosperity
We wish peace upon you all.
With Love from Daniel’s daughters,
Erika Vigil & granddaughter Liana
