We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Dan — a man whose greatest joy in life was his family. If you knew Dan, you knew how much he adored his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren. He was the kind of Papa who always had a little one on his lap, telling jokes, making funny faces, and doing anything he could to get a laugh. His smile was contagious, and his laughter could fill a room.

Dan and his wife, Ruth, shared a beautiful 20 years together. Their relationship was built on love, respect, and a friendship that never wavered. They were each other’s safe place — partners through every high and low. They spent their days laughing, teasing, supporting one another, and creating memories that will forever be cherished. The way he looked at her, and the way she lit up around him, spoke louder than words ever could.

Dan had a personality that made people feel instantly comfortable. He was funny, quick-witted, and always ready with a joke or a playful comment. He had a special way of bringing lightheartedness into any situation. People gravitated to him because he made them feel welcome, seen, and loved. He didn’t have to try — that was just who he was.

Along with his deep love for his family, Dan also carried a strong faith. His relationship with God was an important part of his life, and it helped shape the kindness, patience, and compassion he showed to others. His faith gave him strength, and his gentle spirit reflected the love he believed in.

In recent years, Dan courageously battled Early Onset Alzheimer’s and Vascular Dementia. Though these illnesses took their toll, they never erased the warmth and love that defined him. His passing at just 54 feels unbearably soon, and the emptiness he leaves behind is felt deeply by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

We choose to remember Dan as he truly was: a loving Husband, Father, Papa, Son, Brother, Uncle, and friend. Most of all, we remember him as Dan — funny, kind-hearted, full of love, strong in his faith, and someone who made life brighter for everyone around him.
We have set this fundraiser up to help with memorial costs and Ruth's bills through this hard time. Any donation or share is greatly appreciated!
