My mom, Damaris—lovingly known as Taffa—was the heart and protector of our family. She was a true mama bear in every sense of the word. Fiercely loving, endlessly selfless, deeply faithful, and always putting others before herself, she gave everything she had to the people she loved. After suffering another stroke, our family was devastated to lose her. No amount of time could have prepared us for this goodbye. She fought with strength and faith until the very end, never giving up—just as she lived her life.
My mom was most proud of her two daughters. Everything she did, every sacrifice she made, was for us. She loved her husband deeply, cherished Frances and her family, and found joy in helping others whenever she could. Even her doggie granddaughter, Mia, held a special place in her heart. Her love had no limits. She was a woman of unwavering faith—faith that carried her through hardship, pain, and every challenge life placed in front of her. She believed in God fully and trusted Him even in the hardest moments. That faith shaped who she was and how she loved.
