It is with the heaviest of hearts that I must share the passing of beautiful mother Daisy Marcela Argueta. As some of you may be aware, my mother bravely battled cancer over the last few years. Even though she was in pain, she continued to live with the upmost optimism, generosity, compassion, and love for life.

My mom was born on January 29th, 1948, in Honduras. She was the third out of four children born to Maria Nuñez & Ventura Martinez. As a child my mother studied very hard, attended college, and completed her studies at the National Pedagogical University Francisco Morazan.

She began her professional career as a youth counselor, became a teacher, and ultimately achieved a role with the Honduran Olympic Committee which gave her the opportunity to travel the Americas.

She met the love of her life, my father, Wilfredo Argueta Sr. as young teenagers. They got married in their 20’s and had two children; Kathia Marcela Argueta, and myself, Wilfredo Antonio Argueta. My mom & dad shared a very beautiful life together and experienced everything the world had to offer.

Of all the things my mother was most proud of, she would tell me that three things stood out the most; and that was getting a chance to be a daughter, a wife, and a mother.

At this time I would like to politely ask the community, all of our friends, family, and anyone who was touched by my mother’s warmth to please help us lay my sweet mom, Daisy Argueta, to rest. Please help us as we embark on this painful journey.

I will update this page with date for her memorial service once is set.

Thank you, from the bottom of my broken heart.
