In Loving Memory of Cynthia Dumas
Donation protected
On June 17, 2025, our beloved Cynthia “Deddie” Dumas passed away at home, surrounded by those who loved her most, after a courageous four-month battle with acute monocytic myeloid leukemia (AML). She was diagnosed on February 15, 2025, and in true Cynthia fashion, she met every day with strength, humor, and unwavering love.
Cynthia had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. Whether through a plate of food, a dance in the middle of the room, or a random conversation with someone she just met—she connected deeply and joyfully with others. She was a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who gave fully and loved without limits.
This GoFundMe has been created to support the family during this incredibly difficult time. All funds raised will go toward funeral expenses, unexpected costs, and anything they may need as they move through this heartbreaking chapter.
No words can truly ease the pain of this loss, but your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than you know. Thank you for surrounding the family with love as they honor and remember the incredible life of Cynthia.
Please join us Sunday, June 29 from 3:30–6:30 p.m. at Zuanich Park’s Fisherman Pavilion, 2599 S Harbor Loop Dr, Bellingham, WA 98225. We’ll be celebrating my mom, just how she wanted—with a big, joyful gathering full of love, color, and community. She always said she wanted a party, so wear bright colors or her favorite, teal, in her honor.
Thank you for all the love and support.
With love and deep gratitude,
