In Loving Memory of Craig Mills

We are heartbroken to share that heaven called on one of it’s finest angels Craig Mills on Sunday, September 12th, 2021. Craig leaves behind his wife Anne Mills, and children, Megan and Alex Mills.

Craig was incredibly important to the community for the loyalty and compassion he shared for everyone in it. He served Hamilton as a deputy of the Butler County Sheriffs Department until retirement in 2019. Craig also served part-time for the department after retirement.

Craig was a wonderful coach. He spent endless hours on the ball diamond coaching youth baseball. He inspired countless players to not only be the best player they could be, but the best person they could be. Craig also was one of/if not the best fishermen Hamilton had to offer. He loved spending time on the lake bass fishing.

Above all Craig was a family man. He loved dearly his wife Anne. Craig also couldn’t have been more proud of his two children Megan and Alex. You did not have to know Craig very well to know how much he loved his wife and children and how proud he was of them. Craig was a protector of them. Megan is now a teacher for the Hamilton City School District. Alex is in Columbus going to college at The Ohio State University.

Craig spent his last several weeks in the hospital battling Covid-19. Unfortunately, we all know how costly hospitals are, as well as funerals. I thought for as much as Craig did for us as a community, teaching us and protecting us, this fundraiser could be a way to help thank Craig and honor him by helping take care of his family in these very difficult times
