In loving memory of Constable Devon Northrup

On Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, Constable Devon Northrup and Constable Morgan Russell of the South Simcoe Police Service were tragically killed in the line of duty.

Devon Northrup was 33 years old and a 6 year member of the South Simcoe Police. Devon served as a member of the CMEU unit, was a contributing member of the Mental Health Crisis Outreach Team and was the heart of the Emergency Response (ERU) Team.

Beyond what Devon did at work, he was an avid mountain biker, an animal lover, a practical joker, and a caring and thoughtful friend. Devon leaves behind his spouse, fellow South Simcoe Police Officer, Constable Annie Romard, and their dog (his best friend), Roxy.

The heartbreak we are all feeling for Devon's family is unbearable.
