In Loving Memory of Clayton Short
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
We come to you with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes as we grieve the sudden loss of a wonderful person. James ‘Clayton’ Short passed in his sleep on November 8, 2023. His love for his family was larger than life itself. Clayton leaves behind his Mother, Stepfather, Sister, Wife, two young children, ages 10 and 7, Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, and four young siblings-in-laws.
Clayton was not only the main financial support to his family, but coach to his son’s sports teams and number one dance supporter to his daughter. Clayton and his wife Lanisha were about to celebrate 19 years together and had been looking toward the future as they navigated raising young children in today’s world.
Clayton was one of those big energies you could feel the second he walked into a room. He always had a way of making the people around him smile, even when he couldn’t do it himself. He loved fiercely, unconditionally, and without reservation. He was an amazing Father, Husband, Brother, Son, and Friend to so many. If you ever had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday with Clay you know he sang the best “Happy Birthday” song that echoed through the room and into your heart.
There is a giant hole left in the hearts of our community as we grieve.
After this sudden and tragic loss, the family is left, picking up the pieces and unsure how to move forward. Because Clayton was the main financial provider to his wife and children, we come to you today in hopes you can help the Short family move forward by donating. Any donations are received with gratitude and will be used to assist Lanisha with their mortgage and day-to-day expenses so she focus on being with her children and finding their way on their own.
A celebration of life will be planned in the near future and at this time the family has asked for space to grieve.
Every bit of support is deeply appreciated ❤️
Thank you all kindly
