In Loving Memory of Claudia Soakell

I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. My beautiful friend, Claudia, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, and our hearts are broken. She was a devoted wife and mother, a much-loved daughter and sister, and a loyal friend to so many. Her family was the centre of her world, and the love she shared with them was felt by all who knew her.

Claudia also gave so much of herself to the wider community. She worked at the local primary school, where she made a huge impact on the children, parents, and colleagues she met. She was often seen walking her beloved dog, Bonnie, always ready to stop and chat with neighbours, teenagers, and anyone she crossed paths with. Those simple conversations, filled with her warmth and humour, brightened countless days and made people feel connected and valued.

Her kindness, laughter, and gentle spirit touched so many lives, and she will be remembered not only for her generosity but also for the way she made everyone feel truly seen and cared for.

Because this happened so suddenly, there was no time to prepare for the costs that come with saying goodbye. Along with the heartbreak, Claudia’s family are facing funeral and other unexpected expenses, and I want to do everything I can to help lift that burden from them during this painful time.
