Thank you for visiting this page. We are reaching out to our wonderful East Marsh community and beyond to wrap our arms around a family that means the world to so many of us.

Recently, our dear friend and tenant Clare lost her incredibly brave battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully at home, just as she wanted, surrounded by the absolute centre of her world: her loving family. Even in her hardest moments, Clare fought with unimaginable strength and always, always kept a beautiful smile on her face.

Clare was a pillar of the East Marsh community, a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother and an amazing sister. Her passing has left a massive hole in all our hearts, and she will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Clare’s Journey & Her Final Wish

In 2023, Clare’s world was rocked by a cancer diagnosis. With the unwavering support of her family and friends, she fought hard and received the wonderful news that she was cancer-free. Sadly, that relief was short-lived. Last year, the cancer returned with a terminal prognosis.

Faced with the unthinkable, Clare’s spirit never faltered. Instead of giving up, she focused entirely on cherishing every single moment, creating lasting memories for her family in the precious time they had left.

Before she passed, Clare also made it her mission to advocate for others:

"Clare wanted to raise awareness about the vital importance of getting tested early - because early detection truly can make a world of difference. She also wanted to shine a light on the incredible support systems available to families battling cancer, both during treatment and beyond."

Supporting the Family She Adored

Clare leaves behind her devoted husband, Mark, and their seven wonderful children; Leo, Thomas, Blake, Lola, Logan, Jake and Bella-Rose who now have to navigate a world without their incredible mum.

As a community, we want to take away some of the financial burden during this unimaginably difficult time.

How Your Donations Will Help

We have set up this fund to assist the family in two meaningful ways:

Funeral Costs: To help Mark give Clare the beautiful, dignified send-off she so truly deserves, without the added stress of financial worry.

Support for Mark and the Children: To provide a helping hand for Mark and the seven children as they adjust to life without Clare, ensuring they have what they need and perhaps creating a small ray of comfort for them in the future.

Clare gave so much love to everyone around her. Now, it’s our turn to give a little bit of that love back to the family she adored above all else.
