Our hearts are broken by the sudden loss of Cindy Oakes, a beloved wife, mother, friend, and the heart of North Atlanta Chiropractic Center. For many years, Cindy was the welcoming face and steady presence that greeted patients, supported our team, and helped make our office feel like family. Her dedication, kindness, and compassion touched the lives of countless patients and coworkers, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew her.

Cindy was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. She was the glue that not only held her family together, but also brought people together in the workplace and among her many friends through her generosity, thoughtfulness, and genuine interest in getting to know others. There was never a mean or malicious bone in her body. She was always the shoulder to cry on when you needed to let it out and the open ear when you needed someone to listen.

Cindy never missed an opportunity to be with family and friends. She was often the first to say, “Let’s get together.” Whether it was gathering around the grill, sharing cake and coffee, or simply spending time together, she cherished every moment with the people she loved. She always seemed to have the answers to life’s problems and the lightheartedness to make even the hardest day a little brighter.

Those who knew Cindy knew that her kindness had no limits. She never judged a single soul and always understood there was a human being behind every struggle. She treated everyone with the same warmth, respect, and compassion she showed her closest friends and family. Her selflessness, generosity, and caring spirit touched countless lives and will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

As family and friends mourn this unimaginable loss, they are also facing another difficult challenge. Just days before Cindy’s passing, her husband Rodney underwent surgery to remove a kidney after being diagnosed with kidney cancer. As he recovers, the family is awaiting answers regarding his treatment plan and whether chemotherapy will be necessary.

During this incredibly difficult time, we are raising funds to help Rodney and the family with medical expenses, household bills, funeral expenses, and the many unexpected costs that come with both loss and serious illness.
