In Loving Memory of Cierra Markowitz

On January 4th, 2023, Cierra Nicole Markowitz suddenly passed away in her sleep. She was only 31 years old. The cause of her death is unknown and has left a deep hole in the lives of her husband, sisters, parents, family, and friends. Those who were close to Cierra knew her to be clever, hysterical, kind, intelligent, and so quick-witted. She was an incredible aunt to her 5 nieces and nephew, an avid animal rights advocate, and could tell you anything you could ever want to know about Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. Cierra was diagnosed with Guillian Barre Syndrome in 2021 and while this did cause Cierra and her husband, Charlie, much stress, fear, and pain, it never broke her spirit. She worked diligently to rehab her body and during those months of trial and suffering, Cierra utilized essential tools like a wheelchair, walker, and cane when necessary, so that she could learn to walk again. We will always be so proud of her hard work and thankful for modern medicine and medical equipment which made it possible for her to participate in so many family events, trips, and visits that she wouldn’t have been able to without those tools. They are precious memories for her family to hold onto during this impossible storm. Cierra’s diagnosis prevented her from being able to work and resulted in compounding medical expenses. This fund was created to assist Charlie, her loving husband, with these medical expenses and cremation services and to serve as an extension of our love and support for him during this incredibly difficult time.
