On behalf of my mother, Anne Jenkins, I am creating this GoFundMe to help her during the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her partner, Christopher “Chris” Smith.

Chris was a deeply loving, intelligent, and philosophical man. He loved my mother, his sons, his family, and treated our family as his own. From gardening and Phantom collecting, to exploring their new home state of Texas, to game nights filled with laughter, Chris found joy in the simple moments and the people he loved. His passing came without warning and without the chance to say goodbye, leaving an immeasurable void in our lives.

My mom has been doing her best to remain strong during this unimaginable time. In addition to grieving, she is facing significant financial uncertainty. Despite these challenges, they were committed to moving forward together and building a life in the home they purchased just one year ago, a home they both truly loved.

Now, my mother is navigating grief in a new state where her support system is very limited. It is just her and me here in Texas, while the rest of both families are spread across the country and internationally.

All contributions will help ease the burden of unexpected funeral and service costs, ongoing household bills, and living expenses during this difficult transition. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference and allows my mom the space to grieve and heal without the weight of immediate financial stress.
