In Loving Memory of Christine Coffey
Donation protected
On April 8th, 2020 my sister, Christine (King) Coffey suddenly died leaving behind her 8 year old son, Patrick. Chrissy was loved by so many. Her generosity with her time and love and bounty of food was widely known. She always made time for those who needed it, even when they said not to come over, she showed up with food and love to spread. Many of Chrissy’s friends and family members have expressed a desire to show their respects by lending support to Patrick during this time. This Go Fund me is meant to pay tribute to Chrissy’s legacy by raising funds to aid in all the fees associated with Patrick joining his Aunt Kat and Uncle Dave’s family. After that the tribute will help to jumpstart his college/life fund.
As many of you already know, Patrick’s life has been one of many transitions. This one is the biggest any of us can imagine. Kat and Dave, his aunt and uncle, are working hard to provide a sense of stability for Patrick to grieve the loss of his incredible mom. Patrick wavers between deep sorrow, mixed with anger, and guarded excitement for new things. Kat and Dave share his feelings. There is still a long way to go but a great legal team is working as fast as they can to help bring stability to Patrick’s life so he can rest in a loving home that will keep Chrissy’s memory alive in his life.
Along with this GoFundMe page we are asking for stories about Chrissy that we can read him throughout his life and photos put up on her memorialized Facebook wall. Her Facebook name is Cherry Piez. We need a village. This is the hardest time to gather our village together but we are assembling the best way we know how for Patrick’s sake.
Every one of you are amazing. Thank you for your love and support, and for helping us keep Chrissy’s memory bright throughout Patrick’s life!
