In Loving Memory of Christian Bossett
Donation protected
Garfield High School Class of 1996 is raising funds for our classmate Rashida Biney who tragically and unexpectedly lost her son, Christian, to a severe medical and mental health condition. Our children are suffering! Suicide is the second leading cause of death amongst youth and young adults aged 15-to-24 years old. As you can imagine, this is devastating for any parent to have to endure or even plan for alone.
Christian was an out-of-the-box innovative thinker. He was an aspiring entrepreneur, relished in beautiful glass-blowing artwork, loved creating music, stood firm in his beliefs, and cared for those he truly loved. He had big dreams but, unfortunately, was unable to fulfill those due to this antagonizing illness.
Rashida is our sister, mother, classmate, medical personnel, and more. She gives to our community, and now let's rally to support this grieving mother in a time of deep need. Your donations will help cover the hefty costs we all know are associated with events such as this, i.e., memorial tribute, burial/cremation fees, and whatever else she needs to piece her life back together. Any support is greatly appreciated.
In addition to raising funds for immediate needs, our secondary goal is to take action against this rising issue amongst our youth and young adults. Our goal is to help combat this issue by providing more direct resources and support to the youth in our community in Christian's honor. #YoungMindsMatter
