In loving memory of Christian Barrett Gaylord

On January 19th we lost my brother Christian. It was our mom’s 74th birthday.

We are raising money to cover the final costs of the funeral but the bulk of these funds will be used to start a college savings for Christian’s 8 year old son Mason.

Christian was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 9. As he got older, he suffered from severe depression and drug use. Our dad died December of 2022 and was something Christian struggled to heal from. Summer of 2023 Christian got cellulitis and went septic where he was hospitalized for 3 weeks. He made a full recovery and also got clean for the first time in years. He was making strides to turn his life back around but ultimately his body broke down from the rough toll his disease and years of usage took on his body.

We may not know why he was taken, but we do have peace knowing he loved the Lord. He is finally free of pain and suffering and is in Heaven with our dad.

Christian was loved by everyone. He was an amazing cook and would blow everyone away with his talent. He left behind a wonderful son, Mason who he loved with all his heart. They talked of opening their own food truck one day.
Keep Mom, Tamsen, and myself in your prayers as we heal from the loss of our beloved Christian. Especially pray for Mason, who misses his dad terribly.

With love,
Christian’s baby sister~Katrina
