In Loving Memory of Chinky Castillo

Donation protected
Chinky Gwen Raygel Ceralde Castillo joined our Creator on January 27, 2017 at 4:40 in the morning, just three days before she could have turned 27 years old. She was the eldest daughter of Raymund Castillo and the late Betty Ceralde. She was a hardworking, selfless child who took the mother figure to her only surviving sister Chenrray when Betty passed away in 1999.  Chinky was just nine years old then. She struggled so much with life having to battle diabetes type 1 at the tender age of 13, and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. On January 8, she was admitted at Highland Hospital in Oakland. Then, she had cardiac arrest and was on life support for almost two weeks. She was able to breathe on her own for eight days beginning January 20, before finally breathing her last on January 27. Life has been very emotionally and financially challenging for the Castillo family as Ray has been living  on a meager income and has no reserve funds for an unexpected event like this. On behalf of my cousin Ray, through this gofundme, we are hoping to raise the necessary resources to be able to bring Chinky's remains to the Philippines and fulfill her dying wish to be interred beside her Mommy Betty. Chinky was an amiable daughter, a very loving sister, a doting granddaughter and a great person to all her family and friends. She will surely be missed by everyone.
