Our beautiful friend Charli passed away recently in the most heartbreaking circumstances. She was loved deeply by so many of us — not for surface-level friendships, but for the real, meaningful connections she made everywhere she went. Charli was the kind of person who lit up every room, always showing kindness, humour, and warmth.

Sadly, Charli isn’t having a funeral or wake arranged by her family.

This has left her friends devastated, heartbroken, and desperate to honour her in a way she truly deserves.

So we, her friends — her chosen family — want to give Charli the celebration of life she should have had.

Nothing extravagant.

Nothing over the top.

Just a warm, gentle gathering full of love, memories, laughter, music, photos, and the people who truly knew and cared for her.

We are planning a small memorial event with:

✨ Food / nibbles for everyone

✨ Decorations in Charli’s colours

✨ A balloon arch, memory table & photo display

✨ Money behind the bar so everyone can raise a glass for her

✨ A space for friends to share memories, stories & comfort each other

✨ Plaque at Elland Road in memory of Charli

We want this to be a day worthy of Charli —

a day full of love, full of colour, full of the energy she brought into our lives.
