It is with broken hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Carrington Kelso, a beloved artist, creative, entrepreneur, and truly unforgettable presence in both the San Diego and Atlanta communities.
There are some people who simply leave an imprint wherever they go.
Carrington was one of those people. He had a way of making an impression, of bringing energy and creativity into every space he entered, and of making people feel connected. He was deeply woven into the arts and cultural communities he loved, building relationships with artists, museums, nonprofit organizations, creatives, and so many others along the way. Carrington was also a gifted singer, songwriter, performer, and the creative force behind his fragrance company, Clara Rose. He gave so much of himself to the things he believed in and created, always finding ways to express his creativity and share it with others.
His passing has left an enormous hole in the lives of his family, his partner, his friends, and the countless people who had the privilege of knowing him. It is difficult to put into words the magnitude of this loss.
We are creating this fundraiser to help ease some of that burden for Carrington’s loved ones. Donations will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, helping his partner with the immediate costs of transitioning out of their home, and providing financial support to his family as they navigate the unexpected expenses and challenges ahead.
If Carrington touched your life in some way, we hope you will consider giving, no matter the amount. And if you aren’t in a position to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful. Every contribution, every share, and every kind message is a reminder to his family that they are not walking through this loss alone.
Carrington gave so much of his heart, creativity, and energy to the people and communities around him. Now, we have an opportunity to give some of that love back to the people he leaves behind.
He was deeply loved. He will be deeply missed. And the mark he left on the people and communities he touched will remain long after he is gone.
Rest peacefully, Carrington. Your light will not be forgotten.
