On 6th January 2026, our beloved Caroline Olwa Okello passed away at just 41 years old. Our family is completely and utterly heartbroken.

Caroline was more than a cousin, sister, daughter, partner and friend — she was a steady, dependable presence in our lives. She was the one you could call at any hour. The one who listened without judgement. The one who showed up. Her empathy ran deep, and her heart for others was genuine and constant. She carried a quiet strength that made everyone around her feel supported.

She was also a no-nonsense character! She loved fiercely, and had a beautiful love for life. She had a true passion for helping others. Whether through small acts of kindness or simply being present, she left an imprint on so many lives.

Her passing is especially devastating as it comes just one year after we laid her beloved brother, Milton Olwa Okello, to rest. To lose two precious souls in such a short space of time feels unbearable. As a family, we are leaning on one another and trusting God to carry us through this unimaginable season of grief.

We are now preparing to give Caroline the dignified and loving farewell she deserves. However, the financial burden of funeral and burial expenses has placed significant strain on our family, particularly so soon after Milton’s passing.

We are humbly asking our community of friends, extended family, colleagues, and all who knew and loved Caroline, to help us cover the shortfall for her burial costs.
