Our grandmother, Caritina Saenz, passed away at the amazing age of 89. She was the kind of woman you never forget. Stubborn, strong, and full of life. The type of person to tell you everything that was on her mind. She was our family’s rock.

Nana helped raise all of us. When we had nowhere to go, she took us in. She made sure we were safe. The type of woman that when my brother started to walk to school alone because he was a “big boy” she would follow behind him in secret just to make sure he got there okay. She loved her walks to Dollar Tree and always came back with candy for us, no matter how little she had. That was just who she was.

She raised her kids, her grandkids, and even her great-grandkids. She didn’t always have much, but she gave everything she could. And she was our everything too.

Now we’re trying to give her the goodbye she deserves. We’re raising money to help our family cover the funeral costs and everything that comes with laying her to rest.
