In Loving Memory of Carol Short

Donation protected

As the majority of you may know by now, my darling mother, Carol Short, lost her battle with cancer on the 23rd December 2020.

She was a sheer joy to be around, a person who had time for everyone & always saw the best in people.  I know there won't only be myself who will miss her dearly.

Throughout my mam's battle, there were ups and downs along the way. She never gave up hope, and that in itself is a lesson to all.

Never lose hope.

We would normally look to raise awareness for a cancer charity, however her request was that we raise money for the Mara Chemotherapy Unit at Bishop Auckland Hospital.

We did this previously after the passing of my father, and the money raised allowed the Mara Unit to purchase a TV for the patients to watch whilst receiving treatment.

Something similar would be a wonderful gesture, and if anything, will allow patients to take there mind off their battles at hand, even if only for a few minutes.

I can never thank all the staff members enough for the regular treatment they gave my mam. Not only the treatment, but the level of personal care they gave to her also.

Due to Covid-19, we will not be having a contribution pot at the ceremony, and kindly ask for any donations to be made via this page, all donations are welcome.

Thanks in advance.
