In loving memory of our friend Carlos Garrido
It is with great sadness that we say farewell to our longtime family friend Carlos Garrido. On Saturday April 21st, Tio Carlos suffered from a heart attack while at work in his shop. We lost an amazing man, husband, son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Tio Carlos was an extremely generous person with a heart of gold. He was a reliable friend, someone you could turn to and know that he would be there for you no matter what.
I will always remember his hospitable nature and kindness to those around him. Throughout the years he welcomed many friends and family into his home when they were in need of a place to stay. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
I wanted to create a gofundme for the Garrido family during their time of sorrow, to show them love and support during this hard time. All of the money collected will be given to Tia Fresia as she is the one suffering the hardest loss of her lifetime partner. A marriage lasting nearly 50 years (would have been this year). Our prayers and thoughts are with her and the rest of the family as they grieve Tio Carlos' passing.
I thought this would be a great way to express our condolences and honour Tio Carlos in lieu of sending flowers. Lets give give back what we can, for a man who always gave so much care for those around him.
The funeral will be On Thursday May 3rd,
