In Loving Memory of Carli Anderson

Carli was the kindest soul on what at times, seemed like the meanest earth. She had a heart that stretched farther than most people ever realized — always putting others first, always trying to lift the weight off someone else’s shoulders even when she was carrying her own. She had a way of making you feel seen, safe, and understood just by being in the room.

Growing up, Carli was the big sister who brought laughter into every corner of our home. She loved dressing me up, doing my hair, putting makeup on me long before I cared about any of it — and together we made endless silly VHS home videos that still bring us comfort today. She had a gift for turning ordinary moments into something unforgettable.

Carli also had such a passionate, competitive side. She loved softball and basketball, and she played with that same mix of heart, humor, and intensity that made her who she was. And if you knew Carli, you knew her biggest soft spot of all — her animals. Her cats and her dog Tika were her world. She loved them with everything she had, and they brought her so much comfort and joy.

Carli struggled with addiction, a battle that never defined her worth or her heart. She fought so hard for peace, healing, and stability, especially for the people she loved. We share her story not out of shame, but out of love — because addiction touches so many families silently, and Carli never wanted anyone to feel alone in their struggle.

This fund is being created to honor who she truly was: compassionate, creative, gentle, and overflowing with love. It will help our family cover funeral expenses during this devastating time, and more importantly, support Carli’s four beautiful children — the ones she loved more than anything in this world, and the ones whose lives have been forever changed by losing their mom.

In the coming months, our family is also beginning the early steps of creating a foundation in Carli’s name. Its mission will be to support individuals and families affected by addiction, offering resources, compassion, and hope. A portion of this GoFundMe will go toward building the foundation so her legacy can continue lifting others up the way she always tried to.

Carli deserved more time, and we miss her more than words can express. But her laughter, her softness, her goofiness, and her ability to make people feel like they belonged will always stay with us. Through this fund — and eventually her foundation — we hope to carry forward the light she gave us and ensure her children grow up knowing just how deeply she loved them.
