In Loving Memory of Brian Smidt

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our father, Brian Smidt, who left us suddenly this past Saturday.  His passing left us all in shock and we miss him terribly.  He was a loving father, brother, son, partner, and friend.  

As his only sons, it is our responsibility to make sure that he leaves this Earth with the same pride and dignity that he taught us throughout his life.  We created this page to provide our Dad's friends and family the ability to help us in this endeavor. 

In lieu of flowers, we welcome any donations to the family to help offset the costs of memorial services and other expenses.  We sincerely appreciate your generosity and support during this difficult time.

Brian Patrick Smidt, age 58 of Joliet, passed away July 25, 2020. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lorretta Smidt. Brian is survived by his beloved sons, Kevin and Bradley Smidt; loving partner, Brian Johnson; Rosemarie Smidt; siblings, Sandy (Mary) Smidt, Candy Nowobielski, and Skip (Deb) Smidt; furry companion Rocco; numerous friends and family members also survive. Brian enjoyed attending his sons' sporting and scholarly events. He loved the water, the beach, and the beauty of nature. He will be missed by all who loved him.
