In Loving Memory of Brian Dotson

Brian P. Dotson, age 46, of Decatur, GA passed away on Sunday, June 28. 2020. Brian was an extremely loving person who cared deeply for his family and friends. He never knew a stranger and readily shared his gentle Spirit with them. He was an artist at heart and expressed his love of music through his DJing. A native of Atlanta, Brian started DJing in 1993 and was known as one of Atlanta’s top Techno and House DJs. He later became a respected promoter and influencer, booking some of the most prominent and budding talent in the Southeast. As a venue manager in Midtown, he continued to shape the regional musical landscape by booking some of the biggest names in the industry and providing local promoters and DJs a platform to share their unique vision! Brian also had a successful audio visual business and loved to bring Joy to his clients by creating ambiance and mood through sound and light.

He will be greatly missed but we know he is with his beloved dog, Maverick.

He is survived by his mother, Janis Dotson, father and step mother, Tommy and Maureen Dotson, siblings Tad (Ashley) Dotson, Chris (Allison) Dotson, Shelley (Tim) Buckley, and his beloved nieces and nephews Clara, Caroline, Morgan, Abigail, Daniel, Michael and Brenner.

Nothing could prepare his family for this sudden loss.  If you have the means to assist during this incredibly sensitive time, all donations from this fund will go directly to Brian's mother Janis, to help with arrangements and other associated expenses.  We thank everyone for all their loving support in Brian's memory.
