About Brent
Three years ago, our beloved Brent was diagnosed with idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a rare and devastating lung disease with no known cause or cure.
From the moment of his diagnosis, Brent faced this illness with incredible strength, determination and grace. Despite the rapid progression of the disease and immense challenges it brought, he never stopped fighting and showed immeasurable courage every single day.
IPF is a cruel and relentless condition that robs people of their breath, their energy, and ultimately, their lives far too soon.
There needs to be more research into this heart-breaking disease – to bring hope to families, to save lives and to ensure that others don’t have to endure the same pain Brent and our family have faced.
Brent's story is one of bravery and resilience, and we want to honour him by advocating for change in his memory.
What Brent would’ve wanted
If you knew Brent, you knew how much he hated fuss. He didn’t want flowers or grand gestures - he wanted to help others.
