On Friday, September 19, 2025, our beloved Brendan James Heisey entered the loving arms of Jesus. While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that Brendan is now held in the presence of God and surrounded by His light and love.
Brendan was a quiet, thoughtful presence, always gentle in spirit and a friend to all who knew him. He was known for his love of nature, cooking, and creativity.
Brendan was a proud Eagle Scout, earning the award with Troop 117 in 2021 and becoming a Brotherhood Member of the Order of the Arrow. Remembered as a humble servant leader, he lived out the values of Scouting with quiet strength and grace.
Brendan graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2022 and was studying Chemistry at Messiah University. Known as a quiet, thoughtful student, he served as a teaching and lab assistant. A highlight of his time at Messiah was conducting research with Dr. Reeve in 2024, which he continued for his senior Capstone Project.
Brendan grew up attending Cross Roads BIC Church in Mount Joy. He was an active participant in their youth group. During his years at Messiah University, he attended Slate Hill Mennonite church, and enjoyed their classes for fellow students.
This fundraiser has been created to support Brendan’s family with the unexpected costs associated with his funeral and memorial services. All donations will go directly toward:
