In Loving Memory of Brenda Lee Linton 1956-2025

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
It's with a heavy heart that we write this post.
Our beloved Mum, Brenda Linton, passed away last night after a brave and difficult 10-month battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her children and family, and we take comfort knowing she felt love all around her in her final moments.
Mum was truly one of a kind. A mother of six, a friend to many, and a pillar in our community — she dedicated her life to helping others. Whether it was working to make our neighbourhood safer, or creating opportunities for young people to access extracurricular activities and thrive beyond their circumstances, she did it all with a full heart and a selfless spirit.
She always had time for anyone in need. Mum could make anyone feel welcome and special, whether through a warm conversation, a shared laugh, or simply by showing up when it mattered most. She had this incredible way of making people feel like family, and it’s no wonder so many loved her deeply.
Even during her time in hospital, her room was rarely empty — friends, neighbours, and loved ones came to see her, and she joked that it felt like a party. That alone speaks volumes about the impact she had on those around her.
As we prepare to say our goodbyes and honour her life, we are asking for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us cover the funeral costs and allow us to give Mum the send-off she truly deserves — one filled with love, celebration, and dignity, just like she would have wanted.
We’ll post details of her funeral here once they’re finalised. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who supported her during her treatment and to all who have shown love throughout her life. Your kindness has meant the world to us.
With love,
Cassie and Nadine
