Update 04/29/26: On behalf of the entire family, we wish to extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to every individual who has contributed toward the final arrangements for Branson. The overwhelming outpouring of love and support we have received, manifested through your generous donations and your presence at Branson’s Memorial Service, has touched our hearts beyond what words can adequately express. We have decided to close donations at this time.
Branson was a truly radiant light, shining brightly in each of our lives. As we navigate this difficult time, we are comforted by the community that has gathered to honor him. While our family continues to process this loss, we find strength in your kindness and pray that Branson's memory remains a lasting source of inspiration and lives on within all of us. Thank you for standing with us and for helping us celebrate the beautiful life he led.
Update 04/20/26: Thank you to all who have donated so far; your contributions have been greatly appreciated. Branson was beloved by friends and extended family—including aunts, uncles, and cousins—here in Maryland.
As we continue to grieve, our family is working on final arrangements for Branson. A memorial service will be held later this week, on Friday, April 24th, and Branson will be going home to his final resting place in Kisumu, Kenya, next week. Funeral services will be held at the end of April.
Your contributions will go directly to Branson’s parents, George Oduor Walwenda and Millicent Obongo, to help cover the costs of the Memorial Service, preparing Branson for travel, travel for the parents, and the funeral services in Kenya.

In loving memory of Branson, the family is requesting support to assist with the costs of transporting his remains to Kenya. It is the family’s wish to be laid to rest in his home country, and we are dedicated to making that possible.
