In Loving Memory of Bradford Robbins

Donation protected
Friends, I am going to be more honest and vulnerable than I have ever been on social media. Your outpouring of support and love for Brad has been amazing. Your calls, messages, Facebook memories have been so moving for our family. I know Brad was so loved. But I can’t help but wonder, did he? Did he know that his death would stir so much sadness in so many of us? Did he know that he could light up a room with his infectious smile? Did he know that we believed if he could harness his brilliance that he would be unstoppable? Did he know he would be so very missed?

I’m not really sure, and I will always wonder, if he did know would he still be here with us?

Many of us watched him battle demons, and struggle to make sense of this life. I know what we all saw was just a fraction of the torture he felt in his soul. Brad’s highs were so high and his lows so devastating. He searched to fill a void in his soul for most of his life and just never found what he needed to feel whole.

While I stood by Brad for so long, I had recently grown tired. Tired of bad choices, tired of trying so hard to help him, to save him, tired of being hurt, tired of watching him slowly self-destruct. My last exchange with Brad was hurtful, and I will forever deal with that.

So many of us have been in dark places and if you are there now, please know that this moment, this day, this pain is fleeting. That this life is short and it is worth fighting for and that better days are ahead. And if you know someone that is in a dark place, where their demons won’t let them find peace, please do whatever it takes to let them know how loved they are. Depression, anxiety, addiction, mental illness can be overcome and treated.

I believe in a kind and loving God, that wants us to have peace, and can only pray that now Brad has found that peace and is finally resting well.

Brad left this world with no possessions, no money, and certainly no insurance. If you can help in any way with final expenses to honor Brad it is greatly appreciated. Even more importantly, please continue to keep my family in your prayers, our lives have been forever changed.
