On Friday, February, 7th, 2025, our beloved BJ (Laurence Anthony Harmon) was taken from us far, far too soon. At just 35 years old, BJ was a devoted father whose children (Kari (11 years old) and Kairo (8 years old)) were the center of his world. His love and commitment to them were evident in every aspect of his life.

As his children's mother shared, "He wasn’t supposed to be gone. He was supposed to be here with them this summer taking them to Disney like we planned. He was supposed to come down here and be with them every day like we talked about." Their future together was full of plans and dreams, but BJ’s sudden passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him most.

Living in the Bronx, BJ maintained a strong connection with his children in North Carolina. He frequently sent thoughtful texts with tips for their care, requested candid photos to stay connected, and could always be counted on to cover last-minute expenses, no matter what. His unwavering commitment to his family, despite the distance, was a testament to his love and dedication.

In addition to his children, BJ leaves behind a large and loving family: his mother, father, stepmothers, grandmother, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family friends, and many friends. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.
