To all who were fortunate enough to experience the love and joy that Big Joe Velazco brought to the world, it is with heavy hearts that we announce his sudden passing on March 31, 2025. Big Joe was not only a father, loving husband, and dear friend, but to so many, he was also a coach and mentor. His passion and love for his mission lit up every room, and his impact was felt by everyone who knew him, both on and off the field.

One of the greatest gifts my father gave my siblings and me was our GK Family. His love extended beyond just coaching goalkeepers. It touched everyone who worked hard, showed up, and gave their best. His commitment was not just about developing athletes, but about helping to shape good people, and we carry that with us every day.

To all of you who have reached out with messages of love, prayers, and support, we want to express our deepest gratitude. Your kindness has been a comfort to us during this incredibly difficult time.
