For more than 30 years, Dan has been a much-loved part of our community here in Ireland.

Anyone who knew him will remember his huge heart, his laughter, his generosity, and his willingness to help others without ever expecting anything in return.

He made friends everywhere he went and left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Now, as we say goodbye to Big Dan, we want to come together to honour his wishes and help his family bring him home to Romania, to be laid to rest with his loved ones.

This fund has been created to help ease some of the stress and burden faced by his wife, Vivie, and daughter, Alison, as they take on the difficult task of arranging Dan’s journey home and the ceremonies that follow.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping Dan’s family give him the farewell he deserves — surrounded by love, dignity, and the support of the many people whose lives he touched.
