In Loving Memory of Bettina

Our Dear Mother, Maria Bettina Salva unexpectedly passed away on November 27, 2021 at the age of 54.

Bettina was a beautiful and loving mother of two daughters, a dearly beloved friend to many, but most of all she was a fighter. She provided support to her family in anyway she could and was a hardworking woman

At the young age of 32, Bettina was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and received a kidney transplant in 2003. Since then, she was faced with cardiovascular problems and underwent major surgery and extensive cardiac rehabilitation. She was confronted with a kidney rejection and was put back on the kidney transplant waiting list in 2010. However, she chose to live a life with peritoneal dialysis. She gave back to her community by working at a dialysis center. She gave her best in everything she did, but also faced the hardship of losing her job and being unable to work again due to complications of her kidney disease.

She worked hard to support her two daughters even through years of sickness. She always persevered in the face of adversity. She was someone who put others before her and would rarely ask for help.

Through her history of complications, she always made it back home but just not this time.

We are devastated by the sudden loss of our mother. Due to her comorbidities she did not have life insurance and we were not prepared for the expenses of her funeral arrangements. To honor our mother’s last wishes and provide an opportunity for her loved ones to say their goodbyes, we need help to provide her with the funeral arrangements she deserves.
