It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share the tragic passing of Bernedine Spann, age 32, and her beloved children, 13-year-old Ja’Leah Spann and 7-year-old Jaxton Spann.

While traveling together, Bernedine and her children were struck head-on by a driver, driving the wrong way on the highway and suspected of being under the influence . As a result of this senseless tragedy, Bernedine and Ja’Leah lost their lives at the scene.

Jaxton suffered critical injuries and fought bravely while hospitalized. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries on January 18, reuniting with his mother and sister in eternal rest.

Bernedine also leaves behind another son, who was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident and is now grieving the devastating loss of his mother, brother, and sister.

During this time of profound sorrow, we lean on our faith and trust in God’s comfort and strength. We are raising funds to help cover burial expenses for Bernedine, Ja’Leah, and Jaxton as well as medical expenses and to support the family as they navigate this unimaginable loss. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden and allow the family space to grieve and begin the long journey toward healing.
