In Loving Memory of My Son Bentley

Hi, my name is Kaydance, and I’m writing this with the heaviest heart a mother can carry. On June 20th at 3:36PM, my sweet Bentley—my baby, my bright and beautiful special boy—went home to be with the Lord.

Bentley was only 10 years old, but he filled our world with a kind of love and light that most people spend a lifetime trying to find. He had the biggest heart, the warmest smile, and a spirit that brought comfort and joy to everyone around him. He was my everything.

There is no way to prepare for a loss like this. As a mother, you dream of watching your child grow, thrive, and live a full life—not having to say goodbye far too soon. I’m still trying to wake up from a nightmare I never asked for.

In the midst of this heartbreak, I’m holding on to God’s promises. I know Bentley is now resting in the arms of Jesus, free from pain, surrounded by peace. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,” and I am leaning on that truth every single day.

This GoFundMe is being created to help me navigate the difficult road ahead. I am asking for support—something I never imagined needing—for:

    •    Memorial costs to honor Bentley’s life in a way that reflects the love and joy he gave us

    •    Time away from work to grieve, process, and be with family without the added stress of financial burdens

    •    Therapy and counseling as I begin the journey of healing a heart that feels so shattered

    •    Daily living expenses while I adjust to a new reality no mother should ever face
